Green Mountain Transit to Host Diaper-Drive for Lund
As part of a continued community outreach effort, Green Mountain Transit (GMT) is hosting a diaper-drive event to benefit Lund. Lund is seeking larger size diapers (size 3 and
higher) for their older toddler and pre-school rooms.
Lund has been helping children and families across Vermont for over 125 years! Lund provides hope and opportunity to families through adoption, clinical treatment, and child and family programs. Making sure that every child has a loving forever family and providing education, treatment, job training, childcare, transitional housing and other supportive resources to ensure that every family is healthy and thriving are the driving forces behind Lund’s work.
“GMT is always working toward the goal of being an asset in the community,” says General Manager, Mark A Sousa. “When opportunities to work with like-minded organizations arise, we never question how we can help… we just jump right in to do what we can.”
Many families struggle with daily transportation needs. Along with the diaper-drive, GMT is also donating Single Fare bus passes to help with this critical need. Between September 4-17, diaper drop-boxes can be found at participating Hannaford locations:
• North Avenue in Burlington
• Dorset Street in So. Burlington
• Shelburne Road
If you are unable to donate at these locations, consider a one-time or recurring donation on-line at: https://lundvt.org/
On September 14 from 3:00-5:00 PM, GMT and Lund will hold an event at Spruce Mortgage, located at 430 Shelburne Road in Burlington. Stop by to learn more about Lund and its services, and to donate. For every donations made at the event, be entered to win a Vermont Teddy Bear.
