Mark Sousa was born and raised in the Boston, Massachusetts area. He moved to New Hampshire with his family and graduated from Nashua High School. After high school, Mark attended Plymouth State University where he excelled at football and baseball. After tryouts with several major league baseball teams, an injury sidelined his potential baseball career. While in rehab for his injury, Mark decided to leave college and pursue a career in law enforcement. After a successful career in law enforcement in both New Hampshire and Florida, Mark retired and due to his ongoing love of baseball, had the opportunity to work in Minor League Baseball with the Montreal Expos in Florida. Mark and his wife then decided to come back to NH to be closer to their families. While in Nashua, Mark was asked by the then Mayor Bernie Streeter to be on his staff as the city’s lobbyist where he eventually took over the city’s Transportation Department. Thus, the beginning of his transit career. Mark then pursued and was offered a position in Operations at GMT. After a short period of time, Mark was promoted to the Director of Operations and Maintenance, and soon after was promoted to the Assistant General Manager and is now the General Manager.

Trish has been employed at GMT since 2006. She began her career here as the Grants Coordinator and moved to Human Resources shortly afterwards. In 2009, Trish received her Senior Professional in Human Resources.Trish graduated from SUNY at New Paltz with a B.S. in Biology. Her career experiences include positions as a Chemist, Homemaker, Innkeeper, and a Human Resources Professional. And despite living in many different places over the years – New York, Virginia, and Germany, she considers Vermont her home as it’s where she raised her children and resides with her troublesome cat, Roxie, and beloved beagle, Scout.

Michelle Daley was born and raised in Northfield, Vermont graduating high school from Northfield Jr. Sr. High School. From high school Michelle attended Champlain College graduating with an Associate’s Degree in Accounting, after graduating from Champlain College Michelle transferred to Castleton State College graduating two years later with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business with a major in Accounting and a minor in Sociology.Michelle began her career with a local public accounting firm as an intern and then offered a full-time job upon completion of her college degree. In May, 2009 Michelle was hired to be GMT’s Director of Finance. Her responsibilities have grown in the 8 years since she was hired. As the Director of Finance, Michelle is responsible for the finance department, grants department including capital projects. She also manages the broker services division and provides oversight for ADA compliance. Michelle has remained in Northfield, Vermont with her husband and three sons.

Jon started his career with GMT in September 2008 as a Transit Planner. In his time at GMT, Jon has held multiple roles including Planning Manager, Director or Operations and Maintenance, and his current role as Director of Maintenance and Planning.

Bob Young is the newest Director to join the GMT team. Bob brings a lot of operational experience from the bus transportation industry, and his experience in safety is advantageous for transit service.Bob’s experience in transportation started as a bus driver for Vermont Transit Company, which was owned by the Greyhound Corporation. He was later promoted into Sales and Operations. Bob then moved on to Premier Coach Company as a driver, was promoted to Sales Manager, and later Operations Manager. Throughout his career, Bob has worked for Coach America out of Dallas TX, where he traveled most of the country working with General Managers and Operation Managers as a Corporate Subject Matter Expert. He also worked with Coach America’s personnel in training, evaluating, and directing hurricane evacuation emergencies per contract for Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) and Texas Emergency System Service (TESS). Bob used his spare time as a volunteer fire fighter for the Malletts Bay Fire Department for 25 years, where he retired as the Chief Officer.
