Green Mountain Transit offers many opportunities to connect to other regions through our commuter route network. By riding the Montpelier LINK Express, Middlebury LINK Express, St. Albans LINK Express, and the 116 Commuter, you can access the local transit networks in Washington County, Addison County, and Franklin/Grand Isle Counties.
GMT Commuter Buses
GMT has a fleet of commuter buses to make your trip to and from work comfortable and relaxing. All commuter buses offer soft reclining seats, free WiFi, individual overhead lighting, overhead storage and space for two bicycles. Additionally, in November 2012, GMT began operating seven MCI coach buses that include power outlets at every seat, individual fan controls, and the ability to carry four bicycles.
Montpelier LINK Express
The Montpelier LINK Express makes stops in Waterbury and Montpelier, where passengers can access additional transit services through the Green Mountain Transit (Capital District).
Specific areas served by GMT Capital District include:
- East Montpelier
- St. Johnsbury
Middlebury LINK Express and the 116 Commuter
These routes provide a connection to Addison County along Routes 7 and 116 where passengers can access additional transit services operated by Addison County Transit Resources (ACTR) www.actr-vt.org ACTR provides local and commuter services throughout Addison County with connections to Chittenden County and Rutland County.
Specific areas served by ACTR include:
- New Haven
- East Middlebury
St. Albans LINK Express
The St. Albans LINK Express provides service to St. Albans City and St. Albans Town, where passengers can access additional transit services through the Green Mountain Transit (Franklin/Grand Isle Region). GMT provides local and commuter service throughout Franklin County, with connections to Grand Isle County.
