DESCRIPTION:There’s never been a better week to give the bus a try!\nFrom September 14 through 19\, Green Mountain Transit is celebrating our first-ever Bus Week\, held alongside Transportation Demand Management (TDM) Week. We’re filling the week with giveaways\, challenges\, rider stories\, community partnerships\, and a few surprises designed to celebrate the people who ride GMT—and give those who haven’t been on board lately a reason to hop back on. \nThis year’s national TDM Week theme is “The Power of Transportation Options\,” and we can’t think of a better way to celebrate than by showing just how much you can do when the bus is one of those options. \nWhether you ride every day\, every once in a while\, or haven’t taken the bus in years\, Bus Week is for you. \n\nActivities Happening All Week\nYou won’t need to attend a specific event to join the fun. Some activities will be popping up across our system throughout the week. \n\n\n\n\nRide & Seek\nKeep an eye on our Instagram Story—you might just score free rides on us. \nThroughout Bus Week\, we’ll be hiding free ride cards at stops and locations around Chittenden County. We’ll post photo clues to our story\, and then the race is on! \nRecognize the spot? Head over\, find the cards\, and claim your free rides. \nFollow @RideGMT throughout the week so you don’t miss a clue. \n\n\n\n\nCaught Being Kind\nGood riders make for great rides. \nDuring Bus Week\, Green Mountain Transit staff and our team of volunteers will be riding buses and visiting stops with surprise swag in hand. We’ll be looking for riders who are making the bus-riding experience better for everybody—whether that means offering a seat to someone in need\, keeping the aisle clear\, respecting fellow riders\, or simply showing a little everyday kindness. \nThere’s no need to perform for us. In fact\, that’s the whole point. \nIf we catch you being kind\, you might just walk away with a fun swag surprise. \n\n\n\n\nBus Selfie for the Win\nShow us where the bus takes you! \nSnap a selfie while riding\, waiting at your stop\, or heading out on a bus-powered adventure. Post it to your Instagram Story and tag @RideGMT to be entered for a chance to win some seriously fun prizes. \nWe’ll be giving away items including: \n\nA YETI water bottle\nA YETI coffee mug\nA Vermont Flannel blanket\nAnd more GMT swag\n\nDaily commute?
