The June 2026 Bus Map & Guide takes effect on Monday, June 29, 2026. Printed copies of the new guide will be available on board buses before the service change takes effect.
This update includes summer service adjustments, schedule changes to improve reliability, expanded access to growing destinations along the Champlain Parkway, and a new schedule for the #86 Montpelier LINK Express ahead of regional transit changes taking place on July 1.

Summer Service Changes
With schools out for the summer and travel patterns changing, summer schedules are now in effect.
From 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM on weekdays, the following routes will operate every 30 minutes:
- #2 Essex Junction
- #6 Shelburne Road
- #7 North Avenue
These adjustments better reflect ridership levels during the summer months while maintaining frequent service throughout the day.
The following services are also suspended for the summer and will return when school resumes:
- Neighborhood Specials
- Additional trips on the #7 North Avenue
- Additional trips on the #9 Winooski
These trips are designed to address school-related travel demand and are not needed during the summer months.
Adjustments for Reliability
Schedules on the following routes have been adjusted to better reflect current traffic conditions and travel times:
- #1 Williston
- #4 Essex Center
- #9 Winooski
- #11 City Connector
- #96 Franklin County Commuter
These changes are intended to improve on-time performance and provide more reliable service for riders.
#5 Pine Street Extended Along Champlain Parkway
The #5 Pine Street has been extended along Champlain Parkway to Lakeside Avenue.
As part of this change, two new stops have been added, including a new timepoint stop at Champlain Parkway and Lakeside Avenue. The extension improves access to businesses, community resources, and social service organizations that have recently opened along the Parkway corridor.
To accommodate the new routing, buses will no longer provide bi-directional service on Pine Street between Lakeside Avenue and Flynn Avenue. Riders traveling toward Downtown Burlington should use stops on the opposite side of the street from their current stop locations.
New Schedule for the #86 Montpelier LINK Express
A new schedule has been introduced for the #86 Montpelier LINK Express.
Beginning July 1, transit services in Washington County, currently operated by Green Mountain Transit, will transition to Tri-Valley Transit. As part of this transition, LINK operations will be based solely out of Chittenden County.
The new LINK schedule was developed using rider feedback received throughout public comment periods and includes adjustments designed to better match the travel patterns and service preferences expressed by riders.
