Car-Sharing – Car-sharing provides 24/7 access to a fleet of vehicles in dedicated, convenient locations. CarShare Vermont is a Burlington-based nonprofit on a mission to help more people and businesses get around with fewer cars. We operate a network of new, fuel-efficient vehicles parked in convenient spots throughout the Burlington area that our members can use by the hour or day, whenever they need to drive. www.carsharevt.org | 802-861-2340
Carpooling/Vanpooling – For folks that live and/or work near each other, carpooling/vanpooling saves money and makes commuting more enjoyable. Go! Vermont is a free resource for commuters who want to reduce the cost and environmental impact of driving. Bicycling/Walking – Arrive to work refreshed, invigorated and ready to go. Local Motion is northwest Vermont’s premier walking and bicycling nonprofit advocacy organization. Commute Programs – If you want to help your employer create a custom, managed commute program tailored to your worksite, look no further. Unlimited Access
GMT’s Unlimited Access program was created in 2003 to help reduce traffic congestion in and around the UVM and Champlain College campuses. These programs are privately funded by the schools through a partnership with GMT and CATMA. We would like to invite all qualifying individuals to take advantage of this program. Skip the parking pass and gas costs and try GMT today! The following institutions are proud members of GMT’s Unlimited Access Program:
University of Vermont: All students, staff or faculty member (full or part-time with the Ira Allen Chapel ID) can ride GMT for free! The program is funded by UVM as a benefit of enrollment and they always encourage students to leave cars at home and give this commuter option a try! So stop looking for a parking spot on campus and hop on the bus!
Champlain College: All full-time or part-time student, staff or faculty member can ride GMT for free! The program is funded by Champlain as a benefit of enrollment and they always encourage students to leave cars at home and give this commuter option a try! So stop looking for a parking spot on campus or down at the pier and hop on the bus!
Saint Michael’s College: All students and Saint Michael’s employees can ride GMT for free! The program is funded by Saint Michael’s as a benefit of enrollment and they always encourage students to leave cars at home and give this commuter option a try! Stop looking for a parking spot on campus and take the bus to town, to class, or anywhere else you need to go!
Middlebury College: All Middlebury faculty and staff can ride GMT for free! The program is funded by Middlebury as a benefit to their employees and they always encourage employees to leave cars at home and give this commuter option a try!
