Independence Day Celebration 2023

Enjoy family-friendly activities happening at the Waterfront throughout the evening, beginning at 3 pm. And cap the night off with Vermont’s largest fireworks display of the year. Parking by the Waterfront is limited and will result in 1 hour+ wait at the end of the evening. Don’t want to deal with stressful downtown traffic? Park at UVM. ​

UVM’s Gutterson Fieldhouse parking garage and adjacent lots provide the FASTEST way in and out of Burling­ton after the fireworks. GMT busses will run from 3 pm to 8:30 pm, and pick up in front of Patrick Gymnasium with service down to Waterfront Park for FREE. Busses will run back to UVM at 10 pm in front of One Main Street, and make continuous trips back to UVM until 11 pm.
