Attention Green Mountain Transit Passengers! New schedules will go into effect for Chittenden County on Monday, June 16th. Be on the lookout for guides on board buses and at our transit centers starting Monday, June 9th.
From mid-June through mid-August, the #1 Williston, #2 Essex Junction, #6 Shelburne, and #7 North Ave will run every 30 minutes between 6 AM and 6 PM. Service after 6 PM on these routes will remain the same. 20 minute service on these routes will be reinstated in mid-August.
Alongside these seasonal tweaks, we have made permanent changes to a few other routes.
#8 City Loop service has been reduced to hourly, serving both the McCauley Square and Fern Hill stops on every trip. We are also replacing the #10 Williston-Essex Route with the #4 Essex Center Loop, providing three morning peak trips and seven afternoon peak trips.
Our Sunday routes will also change. The #5 Pine St and #6 Shelburne Rd will merge into a new South End Circulator, running every 90 minutes. Likewise, the #7 North Ave and #8 City Loop will form a North End Circulator, also running every 90 minutes. Lastly, the #11 Airport route will no longer run on Sundays.
