At Green Mountain Transit, we understand that reliable transportation is crucial to our community, and we want to address the adjustments we’re making due to unforeseen staffing shortages.
Why the Changes?
A variety of external factors have presented us with unexpected challenges in maintaining our regular staffing levels. As a result, we’ve had to make some difficult decisions to ensure the continued safety, efficiency, and reliability of our bus services.
What to Expect:
- Adjusted Schedules: Starting Monday, August 28th, you may notice changes in our bus schedules. We’re working diligently to accommodate the available staffing resources, which might lead to adjustments in frequencies and routes.
- Essential Routes Prioritization: We are analyzing our Washington County services to make changes that impact our communities equally. It is our hope that all of the communities we serve share an understanding that we are working hard to increase staffing levels and reverse any changes that go into effect.
- Real-time Updates: We know how important it is for you to have the latest information at your fingertips. To keep you up-to-date, real-time service updates will be available on our website, on the Transit app, and on social media platforms. We encourage you to utilize these resources when planning your journeys.
- Temporary Route Changes: While we strive to minimize disruptions, some routes may experience temporary suspension as we allocate our resources effectively. Please know that we’re actively working to restore these routes as soon as staffing levels allow.
Our Commitment:
We understand that these changes might impact your travel plans, and we apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. Your safety and convenience remain our utmost priority, and we’re doing everything we can to address the staffing shortage swiftly.
We want to express our gratitude to each of you for your patience, understanding and continued support as we navigate these challenges together. Our team is determined to find solutions that will allow us to return to our normal service levels as soon as possible.
